Drew grew up in Excelsior Springs and attended the University of Chicago where he was an academic all-American on the wrestling team. After college, Drew obtained his juris doctorate from Saint Louis University.
Drew is the son of a fourth generation teacher and believes that teachers are the key for any successful school district. The most impactful supporters, challengers, and gamechangers in his life were teachers. Those educators in his life may be disappointed he's a lawyer, but he tries to make it up to them every day!
Drew's law firm works with over 200 public school districts across the state of Missouri, from some of the largest in the state to some of the smallest K-8 districts. He has represented educators and school districts before the Missouri Supreme Court on three occasions, and has assisted with multiple trials, appeals, and due process matters. Drew has a deep appreciation for the issues that educators, students, parents, and school Districts face. In dedicating his professional life to serving public education and its mission, he finds satisfaction that his efforts support the students and staff of the districts he serves. He prides himself in advising and supporting school boards through tough times, legal issues, and helping find solutions to their problems.
Drew believes that public service is foundational to our Democracy, and is proud to volunteer his time to Liberty Public Schools, its students, its parents, and its amazing educators. If elected to serve another three years, he promises to continue to support its students and educators, to make decisions in the best interest of our children, and to ensure that LPS continues to strive towards success.
